Disneyland & Christmas 2013

It's hard to believe that 11 months have passed since we left Australia, and the last few months have flown by.  I've not shared many pictures or stories for some time, so here I go.
Disneyland, California - November 2013

Disneyland is everything you'd expect - fun, colourful, exciting and one of the busiest places on earth!  We had an action packed 3 days in the LA sunshine.

Christmas 2013

Thanksgiving is celebrated in late November, and the day after is a traditional day for purchasing the family Christmas Tree.  Every where you go you see huge trees strapped to big cars - size does matter.  So in keeping up with American culture we did the same.

The tree was beautiful, and smelt gorgeous.  We brought our decorations with us so we had a touch of the old and new.  But we also discovered another American custom. They have not 1 tree, but 2.  One tree decorated by the 'lady of the house' which demonstrates her interior design and decorating skills.  The second tree is for the children, decorated by them and a perfect display of the treasures they make over the years.  Living in such a big house, we followed suit.
