Road Trip to San Diego

So another holiday, another road trip and we can tick off Highway 1 from our holiday wish list.  San Lois Obispo and Avila Beach was our first stop and the kids were pretty wired after Christmas Day - I thought it was going to be a very short holiday, and I was looking for the first flight out of there.  We got into the holiday groove though and San Lois Obispo was a treat.  I think Brad's highlight was finding a cafe that made their own pasties - in true Cornwall style.

LA was the next stop and along the way we detoured to the coast to check out some smaller towns beachside destinations.  Our hotel in LA was great, so great that Cameron just wanted to hang in the room and play Lego (Christmas present from Lynley & Stephen) - Hollywood Boulevard was 20 stories below and the boy just wants to play!

Our holiday had a very nautical theme and we visited the Queen Mary in Long Beach (LA) and the USS Midway - a retired air craft carrier now based in San Diego.
